Sonnenalp gets top-10 nod in Green Spa Awards

VAIL, Colo.—It’s about feeling good and doing good. The green efforts of North American spas were honored in this month’s edition of Organic Spa Magazine, which listed the Top 10 Green Spa Awards. Included in the list is the Sonnenalp Spa in the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail.

“We are quite proud to be listed with the other recipients of this award and for the recognition of our efforts,” said proprietor Johannes Faessler. “My team and I feel a deep sense of responsibility to be leaders in the realm of sustainability throughout all aspects of the resort and to pioneer the best green practices available.”

The path toward sustainability is important not only for social responsibility, but for responsibility for the beauty of Vail, added spa director John Breslin. “To be chosen for this award reinforces our commitment and as the only spa listed in Colorado, further defines the opportunity that we have to lead our peers in the direction of sustainability.”
